The League of Organic Agriculture Municipalities, Cities and Provinces of the Philippines (LOAMCP-PH)
The creation of LOAMCP-PH Academy was formally approved during the 11th General Assembly on June 14, 2019 at Bislig City, Surigao del Sur. The primary purpose of the academy is to offer an Asset Base Transformative Education and Capacity Development processes anchored on the foundational principles and best practices applications of Societal Threefolding leadership and governance as societal transformations drivers in mainstreaming and institutionalisation of context specific solutions in Local Organic Agriculture Policies of Sustainable Organic Agriculture Development in over 160 member municipalities and cities in the Philippines
Relatively, prior to the full establishment of the LOAMCP-PH Academy, the inception phase is the generation of the experiential-based curriculum development structure which started on the Inner Conditioning (IC) for the orientation of the Municipal/City Local Chief Executives(LCEs)/Mayors and his Municipal/City Organic Agriculture Action Team of Agriculturists, Organic Focal Persons and Planning Development Coordinators’ participation in the Assets Base Family Farm and Municipal/City-wide Investment Master Plans (FIMPs/MIMPs) development processes implementation and Results-based Monitoring and Impacts Evaluation (IRMIE).
In this CoViD-19 pandemic, the LOAMCP-PH Academy is organising the Information and Communication Technology on Blending Learning Approaches (ICT-BLA) with 20 member municipalities/cities for the FIMPs and MIMPs co-financed by LIFEBANK Foundation Inc. and Re-engagement the 7 pioneering municipalities and co-financed with SEAOIL Foundation Inc.
The LOAMCP-PH Academy serves as the functional mechanisms on the operationalisation of LOAMCP-PH 2022/2024 Strategic Development Framework of Programs (SDFP 2022/2024) with family farms and societal Most Significant Change (MSC) results by 2024 on liberation from Poverty, Hunger and Sickness in 1.2 Million hectares land into organic conversions and LOAMCP-PH contributions to the implementation of RA 10068 and DILG MC NO. 2019-70 (for all LCEs as members of LOAMC-PH) and the UN SDGs 2030.
With the formal establishment of LOAMCP-PH Academy, the family farms and municipal/city-wide investment master plans results and impacts will serve as the on the ground networks of LOAMCP- PH Academies all over the Philippines.
