The second edition of Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia will take place on June 3 and 4 at Ifema-Feria de Madrid under the tagline “Organic. Because you care.”
Since its successful launch 6 months ago, more than 70% of exhibition space for 2020 is already booked. The event will welcome over 7,000 senior buyers and professionals – including organic food retailers, multiple health stores owners, supermarket buyers, distributors and wholesalers. They will be there to meet over 600 national and international exhibitors, showcasing their latest ranges of organic food, drink and sustainable products.
This year welcomes the American market thanks to its collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), and the Inter-American Commission on Organic Agriculture (CIAO), which will have its own pavilion at the show with over 50 sqm. This new association promotes the expansion of markets and opens a door to new business opportunities between international exhibitors and buyers
Many other countries, part of the European Union and within Asia have already booked their spaces – these include Korea, Italy, Greece, Austria, and France.
In this second edition of Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia, new national pavilions such as Castilla La Mancha will participate for the first time at the show, supported by producers and distributors in their regions. Ecovalia, the premier sponsor of the event, has also confirmed its attendance with almost 200 m², and Andalusia will return with around 1000 m² of exhibition space. Visitors can also discover the best choice of organic products from Valencian Community, Murcia, Galicia, La Rioja, Basque Country, and Navarra. This is not surprising, as only the foreign sales of organic food represent 17% of all exports of Spain, and Organic Food Iberia is the key meeting point to establish business relationships with professional buyers from all over the world.
During the two days of the fair, exhibitors and visitors will find an opportunity to enjoy a 100% professional environment and evaluate new products that the industry puts at their disposal, not only across the show floor but also in two dedicated Innovation Zones.
The Organic Food Iberia part of the show will feature innovative organic certified food and drink products, whilst Eco Living Iberia is dedicated to BIO and sustainable products related to packaging, fashion, decoration, household items, personal care, health, nutrition and others.
At Organic Food Iberia, buyers will also find the Organic Wine Iberia area, where the best national and international organic wines from the year will be showcased. In addition to being able to meet producers and distributors, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the variety of wines, beers and other spirits that the market has to offer in its own Tasting Gallery.
Across the two days, visitors can discover invaluable insights in four dedicated theatres, where an extensive free seminar programme – including panel sessions, debates and live cooking demonstrations – will be held focusing on topics on production, legislation, trends, sustainability, environment, sales, economy and national and international trading.
“La Cocina”, a theatre dedicated to live cooking demonstrations, will feature the best organic chefs of the moment, where products from the exhibitors themselves will be used to create the most delicious dishes.
More information about the seminars and debates scheduled in the Eco Theatre, Organic Theatre, La Cocina and Wine Theatre will be released during the spring, as well as more details about new features, innovations and partnerships prepared for the show.
This important project, emerged from the co-organisation between Ifema-Feria de Madrid and Diversified Communications, promises to boost global organic trade within the Iberian Peninsula and will become the most important meeting place for professionals, buyers and producers to push the industry forward.
