MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is bringing a delegation of nine companies to the world’s leading trade fair for organic food in Germany next month as part of efforts to grow the country’s exports.
In a statement, the DTI’s export promotions arm Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) said the nine companies would join the 31st edition of Biofach on Feb. 12 to 15 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in Germany to showcase their organic food offerings.
The nine companies are AG Pacific Nutriceuticals Corp., Brandexports Philippines, Cardinal Agri Products, CJ Uniworld Corp., Filipinas Organic Coconut Product Corp., Lao Integrated Farms Inc., See’s International, Raw Brown Sugar Milling Co. Inc. and Tongsan Industrial Development Corp.
Products to be featured by the Philippine firms include virgin coconut oil, medium-chain triglycerides oil, coconut water, coconut sap, vinegar, vinaigrette, coco syrup, sugar, flour, desiccated coconut, coconut cream, coco crisps, banana chips, cacao chips and muscovado sugar.
